Krispy Kreme Adds a Dr Pepper-Flavored Doughnut to the Menu — Plus 2 More Treats to Kick Off Football Season
This soda-inspired dessert is a Krispy Kreme glazed doughnut topped with Dr Pepper-flavored frosting
Krispy Kreme is ready for football season – and all the fizzy drinks that come with it.
With the return of the NFL and college football just weeks away, Krispy Kreme is teaming up with Dr Pepper to introduce the Krispy Kreme x Dr Pepper Kickoff Collection featuring three new treats.
It will be available Aug. 23 through the end of the year with the entire batch, but the Dr Pepper Kickoff Doughnut is a glazed doughnut topped with Dr Pepper-flavored frosting. Now, topping it are burgundy sprinkles with a white chocolate Dr Pepper logo to make it look as close to its beverage counterpart as possible.
Next in line will be the Buttercreme Goals Doughnut, just as festive with a glazed doughnut base dipped in green icing. Then, the doughnut receives rainbow sprinkles all over it and is finished with a bright yellow buttercreme-flavored goal post to truly give one that scoring-a-touchdown feeling.
Lastly, there’s the Kreme-Filled Football Doughnut. This football-shaped treat is also filled with white cream and finished off for good measure with an extra layer of chocolate icing.
To make it just a little easier on fans who want to sit down and enjoy every football game, Krispy Kreme is offering $0 delivery on all orders via the brand’s app and at krispykreme.com from Friday, Aug. 23 to Sunday, Aug. 25.
It’s also available in-shop, for pick-up and for delivery, while supplies last, as a half-dozen box at select retailers.

On July 12, customers could get a dozen glazed doughnuts for 87 cents. That’s because the company was celebrating the 87 years it had been in business since founder Vernon Rudolph started selling doughnuts in grocery stores back in 1937.

On Friday, fans of doughnuts and football can huddle up to try the soda-flavored doughnut, which incorporates the 23 original flavors of Dr. Pepper, the chain said in a press release.
- Dr. Pepper Kickoff Doughnut: Original glazed with Dr. Pepper flavored frosting, with a burgundy sprinkle blend, topped with their logo
- Buttercreme Goals Doughnut: Original glazed dipped in green icing, topped with colorful sprinkles and a yellow buttercreme flavored goal post
- KREME Filled Football Doughnut: Unglazed filled with white KREME, dipped in chocolate frosting, decorated as a football
